Responsible for undertaking automation solution execution, including guiding junior engineer on planning, development and implementation of project engineering; to both internal and external customer, while providing assistant to sales on technical consultation and coordination of projects.

Project Execution:

• To execute engineering development for project, including:-

• Generate/candidate/approve IO listing and engineering drawings

• To report directly to Project Manager on project implementation progress and deliverables.

The role

Works closely with and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.  Primarily, the role will be responsible to provide technical support for production incidents and customer deployments Secondarily, and time allowing, the role will deliver product enhancements and improvements.

You will analyse and build a deep technical understanding of GBG’s Fraud products.  With this knowledge, you will provide on call support, support for deployments/installations, investigate and resolve incidents as well as contribute to product development.  

What you will do

As a member of the NextGen technology team in Kuala Lumpur, acquire knowledge and technical capability to support customer installations of the Fraud platforms and products.

Specifically:

• Form part of the 24/7 on-call support roster
• Support scheduled customer deployments and installation
• Prepare deployment check lists
• Smoke test deployments before handing over to the customer
• Review the deployment package before sending it to the customer
• Investigate and where possible, resolve incidents and problems

In addition, and time allowing, the Software Engineer (Support) will contribute to product development.

Specifically:

• Deliver features in line with the overall technical and product strategy
• Deliver product enhancements according to the requirements and take part in new developments

1. To setup complex test systems/ test SW solution with new feature for product line based on PAV provided by MFI team accordingly to the following requirement:
   • Lead the project tester concept study with CoC, SE and ENG
   • To plan and design overall tester as per concept defined
   • To plan project tester budget and procurement activity
   • To track project budget and ensure equipment cost within the planned budget
   • On time delivery of test systems to the production line according to project milestone (include manage of equipment, hardware interface and mechanical jig and fixture purchase)
   • Release the test system according to Test system Release Procedure
   • To train and coach maintenance plan, analysis tool of breakdown causes, Test system setup guideline and test fixture and job design concept)
   • To lead standardization activity in functional area
2. To manage procurement plan with involvement of central purchasing, PIR partner and supplier. Maintain supplier performance evaluation and ensure supplier’s deliver according to technical specification.
