About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Business Development Executive to join our team at Igloo Insure. This full-time role is based in Kuala Lumpur and will play a crucial part in driving new business growth for our organisation. The role requires 75% seeking new businesses and 25% client account servicing.
Job Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct research to identify new market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
- Analyze competitors and stay updated on industry developments.
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify and approach potential clients through cold calls, emails, networking, and other outreach methods.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Reactivates & engages dormant agents, business partners and sales agencies to increase overall activity ratio
- Achieves recruitment target of new business partners such as insurance agents, sales agencies and corporate accounts
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with new and existing clients.
- Understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Act as a point of contact for client inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, and client communications.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts.
- Report and work closely with the reporting manager.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, product, and operations, to deliver optimal client solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development (2+ years preferred).
- Familiarity in the insurance industry. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and identify growth opportunities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
