• Review Quotation & Price / Purchase Order / Invoice Receipt / Payment Process: Ensure business continuity by reviewing and verifying the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of quotations, purchase orders, invoice receipts, and payment processes.

We are searching an established, strong leader of multi-function NPI team to oversee the pilot operation of new media technology. You need to work with program team to align the media design, quantity and schedule requirement of production build and ensure all resources as material, equipment, staff in factory site to deliver production on schedule. Closely corporate with development team to timely transfer and replicate the production media design at pilot lines.

Job responsibility

• Lead multi-function NPI team including frond end, back end and test engineering groups.
• Overlook the operation of NPI plot lines to support production and development activities of new media technology.
• Align with program team on production build requirements and schedule.
• Work closely with development team for smooth transition and replication of media production design.
• Manage logistic of substrates, sputter targets and other material related to new media production.
• Corporate with factory operation team to ensure the staff and facility support for new media production.
• Resolve any production-related issues in a timely and professional manner.

BROAD FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure smooth process transfer from GO R&D to Penang
• Capacity Enterprise CE / HAMR program development in Penang
• Manufacturing Yield / Defects Improvement projects

Regular

• Ensure timely translation of new HAMR product/process transfer from US R&D to Penang. Closely work with counterpart in R&D to develop new process / materials for performance improvements.
• Continuous Improvement of Sputter yields / productivity / high PPH for product maturity. Establish all necessary unique process controls for large volume builds based on the learning at NPI stage & HDD requirements.
• Conduct partition studies for troubleshooting root cause of high particle / low yield. Work together with the team members to take appropriate corrective actions for improvements including but not limited to implementing target sandblast criterias, process optimizations, working with target suppliers on quality improvements etc
• Work with Test yield team on Failure Analysis, understanding of various defect mechanisms of HAMR media and their relationship with sputter process / materials etc.
• Optimize sputter machine start-up & operation procedures to ensure process consistency & repeatability. Work with the team on machine start-up time reduction before media characterization activities in order to reduce downtime & improve productivity.
• Work together with Sputter Equipment team on hardware improvement projects for downtime reduction & yield improvements. Ex- sputter magpacks, different type of cathodes, disk holder designs etc.   

Irregular

• Support inter-department projects (Back End, TEST)
• Support HDD return failure analysis

• Develop embedded firmware which run on Bosch products.
• The developed embedded firmware shall base on test requirement from customer, internal engineering and manufacturing.
• The embedded firmware shall be able to interact with manufacturing and engineering test system via physical interface such as Serial, Ethernet, and USB
• Work closely with embedded firmware team in Malaysia and Germany in order to achieve common product development goal.
• Assist global engineering team to perform HW-SW integration bring up during development phases.
• Assist global manufacturing sites in troubleshooting manufacturing related problems.
• Provide post-production and failure analysis support.
• Collaborate as project team member on Software design matters.
• Capture and evaluate customer, internal requirements and vehicle specific interface requirements. Identify suitable concept in terms of functional, technological and effort.
• Adhere to Bosch Software Engineering Process as e.g.:
  • Perform requirement reviews, design reviews and code reviews.
  • Perform unit testing and release of the software according to SW release process.
• Develop the SW design taking into consideration the dependencies to other module and integration into the overall system.
• SW programming using both standard and proprietary software tools and libraries.
• Create SW test specifications and protocols, if necessary, develop test SW. Executes test plans to ensure new software meets specifications, functionalities and performance requirements.
• Analyze failure logs, clarify system problems and resolve design issues.
• Develop and produce technical reports, design analysis and documentation in support of designs.

Reporting to the Manager- Product Technical Support Tier 1, the Product Technical Support Tier 1 will play an integral role in understanding and responding to the needs of our external stakeholders, namely Assent’s suppliers and customers, in the spirit of ensuring customer success through the successful execution of product support. As part of Assent’s Product Technical Support department, the Product Technical Support T1 will play an integral role in managing the use of Assent Platforms. The ideal Product Technical Support T1 is well-rounded, highly motivated, resourceful, passionate about customer success and support, tech-savvy, and loves engaging with others.

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Client and Supplier Engagement: Engage with our clients and suppliers in a professional and pleasant manner to enhance user experience, acting as a first responder to support Cases and continually updating Cases with new information throughout the support process
• Assent Application Expertise: Become an expert user of Assent applications
• Issue investigation:  Utilize troubleshooting tools to identify and provide necessary information for investigations
• Issue Reproduction: Gather information on defects, reproduce and clearly define identified product issues raised by our clients and suppliers 
• Multi-Channel Support and Communication: Provide support through multiple channels, including email, phone, live chat and screen share sessions to ensure comprehensive client assistance.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of support interactions and technical issues via cases and knowledge base articles .
• Queue Management: Product support queue management and updating Cases with new information
• Performance Metrics: Work within set key performance measurements defined by the Product Technical Support management team
• Information Management: Use Assent’s proprietary software to search, track and enter information for clients
• Escalation Handling: Identify and escalate defects and any complex issues to tier 2 support team.
