About the role 

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Development Executive to join our team at Igloo Insure. This full-time role is based in Kuala Lumpur and will play a crucial part in driving new business growth for our organisation. The role requires 75% seeking new businesses and 25% client account servicing.

Job Responsibilities 

Market Research & Analysis:

• Conduct research to identify new market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
• Analyze competitors and stay updated on industry developments.

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

• Identify and approach potential clients through cold calls, emails, networking, and other outreach methods.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Reactivates & engages dormant agents, business partners and sales agencies to increase overall activity ratio
• Achieves recruitment target of new business partners such as insurance agents, sales agencies and corporate accounts

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and nurture relationships with new and existing clients.
• Understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.
• Act as a point of contact for client inquiries and ensure satisfaction.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, and client communications.
• Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts.
• Report and work closely with the reporting manager.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, product, and operations, to deliver optimal client solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development (2+ years preferred).
• Familiarity in the insurance industry. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and identify growth opportunities.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist HOD with the FM budget and expenses (OPEX & CAPEX)
• Responsible for administrative works, document systemization and upkeep.
• To attend POI meeting and discussion with the respective department when it deems necessary.
• Maintain / update reports, files and records.
• To assist the FM team as and when it deems necessary.
• To perform any data entry such as HR TimeTec & attendance and to ensure timely submission.
• To assist in preparing monthly / weekly / yearly report.
• To initiate, track and follow up on insurance claims.
• To assist in preparing pre-liminary contracts and agreements renewal and coordinate with legal department.
• To manage the FM storeroom and stocks when needed.
• Arranging meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
• Maintain and order office supplies.
• Receive invoices and review for accuracy.
• To carry out any other duties instructed by the management from time to time.

1. To ensure stores activities are operated smoothly and according to the Standard Operating Procedures. 

   • Manage to handling product quality, stores cleanliness and quality staffs and hygiene.
   • Check bank-in reports of stores to ensure daily sales takings are banked in on time.
   • Monitor and ensure smooth daily operation at the stores assigned.
   • Verification of stores requisitions which includes stock take report, petty cash, claim, payroll, hiring of part time.
   • Ensure Store Opening, Closing and sales transactions are in line with the SOP.
   • Conduct ROR (Review of Operations Risks) on food safety, SOPs, product quality and health risks to ensure compliance to required standards.

2. To train, guide & coach service staff on performance & discipline and plan work shift for store staff. 

3. Responsible in renewing stores license with local council.

4. Ensure overall retail outlets operations are managed effectively to achieve sales targets, maximize profitability and productivity, increase customer satisfaction, and ensure continuous business growth. It also including the monitoring and execution of marketing program.

5. Manage customer complaints promptly and take effective action to prevent a recurrence of such complaints.

6. Monitor and control the operational expenses and budgets.

7. Able to plan sales promotion & marketing initiative.

8. Ensures identification of obsolete/slow moving stock and obtain management approval on markdowns and product discounts to ensure stock is liquidated as per retail /brand/category guidelines.

9. To ensure all orders issued are delivered on time and ensure the highest delivery ratio.

10. To conduct competitor surveys on the product's features, prices, and the activities that are taking place in other surrounding outlets.

11. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management.

• rBU Product Purchasing buyer for a Product Group along the complete Product Life Cycle (included product relocation).
• rBU Purchasing Strategy, Quality and Target Cost responsibility and accountability for the related Product Group(s).
• rBU contact interface to Material Field purchasing (Commercial, Quality) / Assure aligned product messages for the related Product Group from rBU to the Material Field Purchasing.
• Escalation in the rBU for Purchasing related issues (commercial, quality, logistics).
• Prepare aligned rBU Product Group Purchasing Strategy for PT-MT/PPU.
• Definition & Maintenance of a Product Group Purchasing Strategy considering TTM and Value Stream targets.
• Product Group interface from Purchasing to rBU.
• Leading and responsible for the RPP activities in the respective Product Group (creation, implementation, cooperation cross-functionally).
• Early Supplier involvement in TTM to support Product Innovation and Target Cost Achievement    (PILUM, GENESIS).
• Support Annual Price Negotiation by providing new potential business opportunities of Product Group in pipe-line.
• Challenge and support Material Field buyers to achieve Best Material Field Costs.
• Support Material Field Buyers for contracting (e.g. SE-contracts, NDA, Concept Competition etc.).
• Create transparency of costs of Product Group by benchmarking (support the Global Product Champion).
• Responsible for achievement of Best Costs in Product Group (Benchmarking, TCO, RPP) before/after SOP.
• Responsible for Product Group related quality activities (e.g. ISIR, 8D, VQS, etc.).
• First escalation level for Quality and Logistics related supplier issues from Plant.
• Takes care of purchasing related topics/tasks in the Value Stream.
