As our Reporting Analyst, you’ll sit within the Financial Planning & Analysis function in our Finance division.  Your primary focus will be to act as the reporting facilitator to enable the business to monitor business performance through data.

Working within our FP&A team you’ll see them drive annual planning, long range forecasting, internal management reporting to monitor performance against plan, and adhoc analysis to make NEXTDC predictable and commercial.

What you’ll do:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and other periodic management reporting to stakeholders
• Supporting the wider business by extracting financial data from multiple sources and consolidating it for reporting or further analysis

About the role
The FA&P Analyst is responsible for handling day to day operations of FA&P Dept, weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast, monthly closing and variance analysis reporting & submission to global and annual budgeting. The work involves liaison between the commercial team (sales/customer care/marketing), factories and accounting team.

In this position you will manage :

Forecasting & Variance Analysis

·       Lead the monthly forecasting processes

·       Analyse regional business results to identify trends and/or financially significant variances and suggest corrective actions  to improve business profitability and growth.

·        Build and optimize FP&A processes and use financial forecasting and modelling techniques to project performance

·       Perform in-depth analysis of the group's performance on P&L, B/S, working capital efficiency, cash flow management, pricing and other key efficiency indicators.

 Business & Commercial partnering

·       Conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives.

·       Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to regional and senior leadership. Provide financial advisory support to the regions.

·      Support development of regional commercial business plan

 Budgeting

·       Lead the annual budgeting processes, working closely with cross-functional teams

About your Experience
You will have at least 5 year’s experience in an FA&P role,  have worked closely with commercial teams and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. A passion for data analysis and tech is a given.

·       Degree in Business, Finance or Finance Professional qualification.

·       HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) experience required.

·       Experience with PowerBI, will be a plus.

·       Deep understanding of a matrix organization and an ability to manage stakeholders from various functions

·       Good excel skills with experience in building database, reporting, financial models and forecast.

Quality Testing:

• Support all sourcing Teams, operations and Product Leadership with any requests around data quality testing for new / prospective Suppliers

Data Onboarding:

• Understand the data format agreed with the Supplier as per the contract and complete set up on Ingestion/ any other Input platform
•  Data cleaning, verification and classification as needed
•  Upload of received files to platform as needed.
• Troubleshooting with the Supplier in case data is not in agreed format or any other issues with data upload such as file issues ( type/ location/ special characters etc.)

BAU Operations:

• Create procedures to support ongoing BAU Ops
• Ensuring data receipt as per schedule, following escalation process if the data not received on the agreed date in the desired format.
• Data cleaning, verification and classification as needed.
• Responsible for sending and contacting retailers to verify data queries or store queries (e.g missing addresses etc)
•  Load data/monitor auto upload into ingestion/ any other input platform
• Update retailer KPIs on timeliness and Quality such as Retailer Information Systems(RIS) update

KPI Tracking & Reporting:

• Regularly update Supplier KPIs on data timeliness and Quality (RIS)
•  Work with Supplier Compliance & Management to improve Quality KPIs for the Supplier
• Work as a single source of truth for all data/logic related inquiries

TroubleShooting & Enquiries:

• Engage with Supplier SPOC - in case data not received on time or issues with the data.
• Raise ticket and ensure resolution if any issues with NielsenIQ systems to upload data for downstream processes.
• Resolve/escalate issues flagged by inputs systems and follow through the closure.
• Provide analysis and handle communication-related to Client inquiries.
