• Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, update, and review the work schedule for the project.
  • Advise the operation team on: -
  1. Project status and issues to be investigated and resolved.
  2. Manpower, machinery, equipment, and material requirement.
  3. Document submissions for approval.
  4. Recovery / mitigation action plans should any delay be recorded.
  • Review and provide feedback on schedule and manpower allocations submitted by subcontractors.

The visual journalist / front end developer role at Malaysiakini combines data analysis, front-end web development for data visualisation and interactive journalism. JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Establish & build relationships/connections with banks & credit unions to secure best loan facilities and smooth approval process.
• Lead and manage the accounting team, including overseeing day-to-day operations and providing mentorship and training.
• Assign and review work to ensure quality and efficiency within the team.
• Manage and oversee the company’s tax compliance, CAPEX and OPEX, including the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensuring adherence to Malaysian tax laws.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on any tax-related matters.
• Responsible for coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers, creditors, debtors, government authorities, and other relevant parties on financial and accounting matters.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations on monthly basis for every project.
• Supervise payments, collections, and banking activities to maintain financial stability.
• Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports in compliance with bank.
