Job Summary

The Shipping Officer will play a pivotal role in managing import and export activities, monitoring inbound shipments, and coordinating outbound shipments. Responsibilities;

• Collect Material Requisition Form (MRF) from site, clarifying items, and get approval from the Management.
• Sourcing for potential new suppliers and new material / product / services to compare and support cost saving activities / projects.
• Process Purchase Order (PO), delivery schedule for bulk order and back charge notice.
• Liaise with site/project team on the required of materials to purchase and arrange for lorry delivery.
• Follow up delivery status with suppliers.
• Record Delivery Order (DO) and check DO against Purchase Order.
• Check purchase invoices and update DO in system.
• Record and forecast material utilization in and out from site.
• Ensure all request materials deliver to site on time within good services and quality.

Job Requirements;

• Minimum 2 years of procurement working experience in a similar role / in the related field.
• Able to work independently with problem-solving abilities.
• Able to fulfill other duties as assigned by manager and superior from time to time.
• 5.5 working days per week.
• Ability to start immediately will be an added advantage.

Job Scope:

1) Assists the project manager in project take-offs/to take off quantity for on-going projects and tender.

2) To be fully in charge of BQ, materials computation and contracts preparation. 3) To prepare project budgets and cost analysis.

4) To ensure timely handling and certification of on-going project claims and payments including VOs.

5) To ensure smooth communication and coordination with consultants, architects, engineers, builders, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibility/Requirements:

1) Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, with Quantity surveyor related. 2) Preferable Executives specializing in quantity surveying or equivalent.

3) Required language: Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu 4) Good management of overall QS operation

5) Full time position is available at Molek Johor Bahru
